Resolution
supply of water meter boxes and lids from the low bidder, Ferguson
Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $115,073.00; or from the local
bidder, PowerSeal Pipeline Products Corporation, in the amount of
$117,763.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
,
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the bid from the low bidder for the meter boxes
and lids, Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $115,073.00; and the local bidder,
PowerSeal Pipeline Products Corporation, in the amount of $117,763.00, and find both
acceptable; and,
WHEREAS,

that is within five percent of the lowest bid price received to the bidder whose principal place of business is
in the municipality if the governing body of the municipality determines, in writing, that the local bidder offers
the municipality the best combination of contract price and additional economic development opportunities
for the municipality created by the contract award, including the employment of residents of the municipality
and increased tax .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff are authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase:
The estimated annual supply of water meter boxes and lids from the low
bidder, Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $115,073.00;
or
The estimated annual supply of water meter boxes and lids from the local
bidder, PowerSeal Pipeline Products Corporation, in the amount of
$117,763.00.
