Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and accept a
Federal Transit Administration Section 5339
Buses and Bus
Grant in an amount up
Facilities Infrastructure Investment Program
to $10,000,000
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for improved
transportation maintenance and repair facilities for its bus operations; and,
WHEREAS, design funding for this proposed facility may be available through
the Federal Transit Administration under the Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities
Infrastructure Investment Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is an identified recipient to receive Section
5339 funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for and accept a Federal Transit
Administration Section 5339 Buses and Bus Facilities Infrastructure Investment
Program Grant, in an amount up to $10,000,000, for completion of a proposed
administrative and repair/maintenance facility.
