Ord 27-2018 Authorizing acquisition by purchase and/or condemnation Maplewood Ave. Extension Ordinance No. 27-2018 Ordinance authorizing acquisition by purchase and/or condemnation of property for the purpose of right of way expansion of Maplewood Avenue from Lawrence Road to McNeil Avenue as proposed and approved by Proposition C of the May 5, 2018 Bond Election WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls finds it is in the publics best interest to extend and expand Maplewood Avenue to reduce congestion and provide better traffic flow to the citizens of Wichita Falls via Maplewood Avenue; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that property interests must be acquired for this project, and in accordance with state law, the City must offer the fair market value to the owners for the acquisitions.
