Ordinance Appropriating $66,000 To The Special Revenue Fund For
Housing Opportunities For Persons with AIDS ( HOPWA) Grant For
The Early Intervention Program And Authorizing The City Manager To
Execute A Contract And All Other Documents Necessary To Receive
Said Funds From Tarrant County For The Wichita Falls- Wichita
County Health District Pursuant To The HOPWA Grant
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District received
notice of the availability of HOPWA grant revenue from Tarrant County;
WHEREAS, the Public Health District desires to receive these funds to continue
providing housing and utility assistance to eligible clients; and
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2010 -2011 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated $66,000 in the HOPWA Grant Special Revenue
Fund for the Early Intervention Program, and the City Manager is authorized to execute
a contract and all other documents necessary to receive said funds from Tarrant
County for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Health District pursuant to the HOPWA
Grant.
