RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO THE
CYPRESS WATER TREATMENT PLANT YARD PIPING PHASE I
PROJECT (CWF03-544-23); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with MW
Builders of Texas, Inc., with the estimated total cost of $1,757,000.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was previously approved adding $21,004.00 to
the contract for a revised cost of $1,778,004.00; and
WHEREAS, Change order no. 2 will add $18,603.00 to the contract for a revised
contract of $1,796,607.00; and
WHEREAS, this Change Order will add an additional 5 days to the contract; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this change order and feels
that it is in the City's best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 2 for the Cypress Water Treatment Plant Yard
Piping Phase I Project (CWF03-544-23) is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to make amendments to this contract.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
