RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, RENAMING KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPARK TO
KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration requires the City Council to pass
a resolution to recognize the change in name to Kickapoo Downtown Airport; and
WHEREAS, the name change is designed to attract transient aircraft to the
improved facilities at Kickapoo, thus increasing revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name change to Kickapoo Downtown Airport will become
effective upon approval by the Federal Aviation Administration
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
