RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, OF SUPPORT AND WILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE HOLLIDAY CREEK PEDESTRIAN
AND BICYCLE TRAIL PHASE III; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation has issued the call for the
Statewide Transportation Enhancement Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has previously supported projects entitled
Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase I, Phase II-A, and Phase II-B; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to proceed with Phase III of the
Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls wishes to express its support for the
nomination of the Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase III under the
Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls is committed to this project development
and implementation construction, maintenance, management, and financing.
SECTION 3. The current local match for the project is estimated to be
$328,900.00, which will be considered in the year 2006/07 Budget.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
