RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF AN AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVING SYSTEM FROM
VAISALA, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $105,238.20. FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase and installation of an Automated Weather Observing System; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on June 7, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase an Automated Weather
Observing System for the Kickapoo Downtown Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase and
installation of an Automated Weather Observing System to Vaisala, Inc., in the amount
of $105,238.20.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
