RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING A BID TO SYMMETREX SOLUTIONS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $53,436 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ORACLE
APPLICATION SERVER SOFTWARE FOR THE CITY'S FINANCE AND
HUMAN RESOURCES SYSTEMS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the 2005-06 budget included funds for software and related
hardware to upgrade the City's Finance/HR and Utility Billing software applications; and
WHEREAS, the staff is prepared to upgrade the Finance/HR applications at the
present time; and
WHEREAS, to perform this upgrade the City needs to purchase Oracle
Application Server — Enterprise Edition, and
WHEREAS, bids from three Qualified Information System Vendors were
received for this software, and Symmetrex Solutions was the low bidder in the amount
of $53,436.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An award of bid for the purchase of Oracle Application
Server-Enterprise Edition is hereby approved to Symmetrex Solutions in the amount of
$53,436.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
