RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR ENTRANCE
ROAD, TERMINAL PARKING AND HANGER AREA IMPROVEMENTS
AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to reconstruct the entrance way,
replace the hanger taxiways, build storm water retention, and install security fencing at
Kickapoo Downtown Airport; and
WHEREAS, Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
entitlement money is available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 95% of the cost for
this project and sufficient City airport money is available to fund the remaining 5% of the
project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said bid of AUI Contractors, L.P. in the amount of $1,601,954.30 is
hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City
with said Contractor for the improvements outlined above at Kickapoo Downtown
Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
