Resolution authorizing award of bid for the purchase of five (5) %-ton
gasoline pickups and one (1) 3/4 -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup from
Four Stars Auto Ranch, LLC, in the amount of $144,711.00
WHEREAS, Resolutions 39-2018 and 41-2018 previously awarded the purchase
of five (5) %-ton gasoline pickups and one (1) %-ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup to
Wichita Falls Ford Lincoln, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, Wichita Falls Ford Lincoln, Inc., will not be able to supply the units
due to a manufacturing shortage; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase five (5) 3/4 -ton gasoline pickups
and one (1) 3/4 -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup to replace aging and damaged units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Resolutions 39-2018 and 41-2018 are hereby repealed and City staff is authorized
to execute all documents necessary to purchase five (5) 3/4 -ton gasoline Dodge Ram
pickups and one (1) %-ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel Dodge Ram pickup from Four Stars Auto
Ranch, LLC, in the amount of $144,711.00.

Resolution authorizing award of bid for the purchase of five (5) %-ton
gasoline pickups from the low bidder, Four Stars Auto Ranch, LLC, in
the amount of $111,670.00; or to the local bidder, Wichita Falls Ford -
Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $112,789.10
WHEREAS, the City advertised and requested bids for the purchase of five (5) 3/4 -
ton gasoline pickups and one (1)'/4 -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup; and,
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the bid from the low bidder for the gasoline
pickups, Four Stars Auto Ranch, in the amount of $111,670.00; and the local bidder,
Wichita Falls Ford -Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $112,789.10, and find both acceptable;
and,
WHEREAS, Local Government Code Section §271.9051 .....allows a municipality to award a bid
that is within five percent of the lowest bid price received to the bidder whose principal place of business is
in the municipality if the governing body of the municipality determines, in writing, that the local bidder offers
the municipality the best combination of contract price and additional economic development opportunities
forthe municipality created by the contract award, including the employment of residents of the municipality
and increased tax revenues to the municipality......
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff are authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase:
Five (5) %-ton gasoline pickups from the local bidder, Wichita Falls Ford -
Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $112,789.10.

Resolution authorizing award of bid for the purchase of one (1 ) 3/d
ton, 4 -wheel drive diesel pickup from the low bidder, Wichita Falls
Ford -Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $32,997.70
WHEREAS, the City advertised and requested bids for the purchase of one (1)
3/4 -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup; and,
WHEREAS, bids were received and publically opened on February 26, 2018;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a 3/4 -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel
pickup to replace Unit 1026 at the City Landfill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT.
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one (1)
'/a -ton, 4 -wheel drive, diesel pickup truck from Wichita Falls Ford Lincoln, Inc., in the
amount of $32,997.70.
