RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID TO VARIOUS
VENDORS FOR THE CITY'S ANNUAL SUPPLY OF CHEMICALS FOR
WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of the annual supply of chemicals for water and wastewater treatment; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on August 3, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase chemicals for the City's water
and wastewater treatment operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award bids for the purchase of bulk
water and wastewater treatment to the low bidder for each chemical as follows:
a. Hydrofluorisilic acid to Harcros Chemicals, in the amount of $38,940.00.
b. Liquid ferric sulphate to General Chemical Performance, in the amount of
$228,020.40.
c. Potassium Permanganate to JLM Marketing, in the amount of $12,876.00.
d. Sodium chlorite to US Filter/Davis Products, in the amount of $72,137.53.
e. Calcium Oxide (quicklime) to Texas Lime Company in the amount of
$289,027.80.
f. Citric Acid to Southwest Chemical, in the amount of $12,960.00.
g. Copper sulfate to Southwest Chemical, in the amount of $58,830.00.
h. Liquid carbon dioxide to Air Liquide, in the amount of $112,560.00.
i. Powdered activated carbon to F2 Industries, in the amount of $6,912.00.
j. Anhydrous ammonia to Airgas Specialty Products, in the amount of
$39,040.00.
k. Ferrous chloride to Kemiron Companies, Inc., in the amount of $17,610.00.
I. Sulphur Dioxide to Harcros Chemicals, in the amount of $52,900.00.
m. Liquid Chlorine 1 Ton Cylinders to Harcros Chemicals, in the amount of
$166,296.00.

SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
