RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE CITY'S
ESTIMATED ANNUAL REQUIREMENT OF READY MIX CONCRETE
AND FLOWABLE FILL TO PITTS READY MIX, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$201,425.00 AND TO OK CONCRETE FOR CURB & GUTTER MIX IN
THE AMOUNT OF $10,250.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the City's
estimated annual requirement of ready mix concrete and flowable fill; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on October 31, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase ready mix concrete and
flowable fill for use by various city departments during the next twelve-month period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization be granted to award the bid for the City's estimated
annual requirement of ready mix concrete and flowable fill to Pitts Ready Mix in the
amount of $201,425.00 and to OK Concrete for curb & gutter mix in the amount of
$10,250.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
