RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF 5,000 LINEAR FEET OF 8-FOOT CHAIN LINK
FENCE TO CHAVEZ CONSTRUCTION, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$68,599.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
construction of 5,000 linear feet of chain link fence; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on November 21, 2006; and
WHEREAS, $65,000.00 was budgeted for phase 2 of the project, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to proceed with the second phase of the five
year landfill fence project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the construction of
5,000 feet of 8-foot chain link fence to Chavez Construction in the amount of
$68,599.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
