Ord 16-2018 4/3/2018 Ordinance No. 16-2018 Ordinance rezoning approximately 3.72 acres of land located at Lot 2-D and Lot 2-C, Block 12, Bellevue Addition (corner of Denver & Van Buren St - former Alamo Elementary) from Single Family-2 (SF-2) to General Commercial (GC) and amending the Land Use Plan to change the area from Institutional to Commercial WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed zoning change at its March 14, 2018 meeting, and voted to recommend approval of this request; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined the herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: 1. Lot 2-D, Block 12, Bellevue Addition (a.k.a. 1912 11th Street – 3.13 acres) and Lot 2-C, Block 12, Bellevue Addition (0.58 acres at Denver Street), as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “A”, is hereby rezoned from Single Family-2 Residential (SF-2) to General Commercial (GC). 2. The area on the Land Use Map, as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “B”, is hereby amended to change the area from Institutional to Commercial.
