RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID TO DELL COMPUTER
CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $101,300 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF ONE HUNDRED COMPUTER WORKSTATIONS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City's 2006-07 budget includes funds to replace several
computers that are in excess of five years old and no longer adequate to run the City's
standard operating systems and applications; and
WHEREAS, bids were received from various Qualified Information Systems
Vendors for the purchase of these computers; and
WHEREAS, Dell Computer Corporation submitted the lowest and most
responsible bid for this purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is hereby granted to award a bid to Dell Computer
Corporation for the purchase of 100 computer workstations in the amount of $101,300.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
