RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION VI OF RESOLUTION NO. 175-98
TO EXTEND THE TERM OF A PARK BOARD MEMBER; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Park Board member and chair Elmer Emory will meet his six-year
term limit on the Park Board December 31, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Emory has been serving on the Lease Committee of the Park
Board and has requested that his term be extended until he completes his service on
this committee; and,
WHEREAS, under Section VI of Resolution No. 175-98, the Council has the
authority to waive the six-year term limit. .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section VI of Resolution No. 175-98 is hereby waived for Mr. Elmer
Emory, and he is hereby appointed to serve another (�s/three) years on the Park
Board.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
