RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 4,855
LINEAR FEET OF 8-FOOT CHAIN LINK FENCE TO RENT-A-FENCE, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $65,868.70; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the construction of
3,200 linear feet of chain link fence; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on December 29, 2005; and
WHEREAS, $64,000.00 was budgeted for phase 1 of the project, and
WHEREAS, the per foot cost of the fence was less than anticipated, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to increase the footage and get the maximum benefit
for the dollars budgeted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the construction of 4,855 feet of
8-foot chain link fence to Rent-A-Fence in the amount of $65,868.70.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
