RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING ASSIGNMENT OF THE AUDIT SERVICES
CONTRACT FROM MATHIS, WEST, HUFFINES & COMPANY TO
EDGIN, PARKMAN, FLEMING & FLEMING; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract for audit services with Mathis, West,
Huffines & Company, P.C. and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from Mathis, West, Huffines &
Company, P.C. to assign the remaining rights and obligations of this contract to the
newly formed CPA firm of Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming, P.C.; and
WHEREAS, this new firm is made up of former employees of Mathis, West,
Huffines & Company, P.C. who have considerable governmental audit experience; and
WHEREAS, some of the employees of Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming,
P.C. have managed the City's audit the past six years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Approval is hereby granted to Mathis, West, Huffines & Co., P.C. to
assign the rights and obligations of the audit services contract with the City to the CPA
firm of Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming, P.C.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
