Resolution No. 36-2018
Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with
HUB International Texas, Inc. for Risk Management Brokerage
Services.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have an expert review and analy ze
accident and injury trends, conduct a thorough review of insurance coverage and cost
effectiveness of deductibles, premiums, and scheduled coverage, and a develop a
more accessible network of safety experts and training programs customized
specifically for City departments; and
WHEREAS, $45,000 was included in the 2017 -18 budget to solicit proposals
and select a qualified firm to assist the City with this work; and
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals and received proposals
from three vendors; and
WHEREAS, these proposals were evaluated and all three vendors were
interviewed and given the opportunity to make on -site presentations; and
WHEREAS, after careful evaluation of all presentations and verification of
services through reference checks with other T exas cities, the City staff recommends
that the City Manager enter into contract with Hub International, Inc. for a fee of
$52,500.00 per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with HUB
International Texas, Inc. for Risk Management Brokerage Services in the amount of
$52,500 per year, as reviewed and approved by the City Attorney’s Office.
