Ordinance rezoning approximately 5.22 acres of land out of Blocks
11 & 12, Denton County School Lands, League 2, also known as 6303
and 6305 Southwest Pkwy., from Single Family 1 Residential (SF -1)
to General Commercial (GC) and amend the Land Use Plan to change
the area from Low Density Residential to Commercial
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the prop osed
zoning change at its February 14, 2018 meeting, and voted unanimously to recommend
approval of this request based on changed conditions in the area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined the
herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Blocks 11 & 12, Denton County School Lands, League 2 (a.k.a. 6303 and
6305 Southwest Parkway), approximately 5.22 acres, as depicted on the attached map
incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “A”, is hereby rezoned from Single
Family-1 Residential (SF-1) to General Commercial (GC).
2. The area on the Land Use Map, as depicted on the attached map
incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “B”, is hereby amended to change the
area from Low Density Residential to Commercial.
