ORDINANCE REZONING 2402, 2403, 2404 & 2405 PIEDMONT PLACE,
DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3& 4, BLOCK 11, AND LOTS 1& 24, BLOCK
39A, SHEPPARD ESTATES AND ADJACENT RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM
SINGLE FAMILY-2 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL, AND AMENDING THE
LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at their May 10, 2006, meeting and voted to recommend approval of this
request and related Land Use Plan amendment; and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed this application and has determined that
the herein described zoning and Land Use Plan change is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan designation of a tract of land described as
2402, 2403, 2404 & 2405 Piedmont Place, being Lots 3& 4, Block 11, and Lots 1& 24,
Block 39a, Sheppard Estates and adjacent right-of-way, as shown on the attached
map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A," is hereby amended to
"Commercial."
SECTION 2 . The tract of land described in Section One of this ordinance is
hereby rezoned to "General Commercial."
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
