ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE 2005-06
BUDGET FOR FUNDS AWARDED BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE NON-PRIMARY ENTITLEMENT GRANT
PROGRAM AND CITY MATCHING FUNDS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to receive funds from the Federal Aviation
Administration for its Non-Primary Entitlement Funding Program; and
WHEREAS, the City is allowed to accumulate these funds over several years to
fund large airport improvement projects at Kickapoo Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to use these funds to construct a T-Hangar complex
at the Airport, and
WHEREAS, the grant program requires a 25% local match, and
WHEREAS, the City has accumulated $300,000 in grant funds for this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Appropriations are hereby made to the 2005-06 budget in the
amount of $300,000 of Federal Aviation Administration Non-Primary Entitlement Funds
and $75,000 in Airport Reserve Funds for engineering, design, and construction of
T-Hangars at the Kickapoo Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
