Ms. Krystal James introduced a motion to approve the minutes of the Januarv, 10, 2018
meeting. Ms. Lynda Cannedy seconded the motion. The minutes were aporoved with a

Mr. Matthew Prouty presented the case to allow a carport in the reguired front setbacL
at 217 Loch Lomond Drive. The property was Inrated in a Single-Familv 2 Residential

Chairper�un Martin opened the public hearing concerning Me rezoning of 5.66 acres of
land, 212 Valley Vi -w Road, from Limited Office (LO) to Limited Commercial (LC), He
opened the meeting to cumments from the public.
Chairparsun Martin asked if there was anyone wished to speak at the public hearing,

and socth of the sub;ect property. He indicated that the entire area would eventually
need to go that direction.

Public Hearing on 6305 & 6303 Southwo5t Parkway Rezone:
Chairperson Martin opened the public hearing concerning the fezoning of a.zz acres of
land, 6305 & Bs03 5oatMwest ParRway, from Single -Family 1 Residential (SF -1) to
General CvmmerLial (GC). He opened the meeting to Somme, its from the public.
Ms. Laurie Pullo-1k, 4713 Stansbury Lane, stated she and several residents of the single
family neighborhood located just to the west of the proposed rezone Mad spoken and
there were concerns that commercial development could result in traffiL, noise, and
trash overflowing into their quiet neighborhood.
Chairpar5on Martin asked if there was anyone wished to speak at the public hearing,
and there were none. He closed the public hearing at z: 19 p.m.

Mr. Rick Graham stated that the property was adjnrent to General Commercial (GC)
zoning to the north and the oast, and the expansion of the General Commercial (GC)

1. Subdivision/Platting Ordinance Revisions -- Mr. Dana Schoening atated staff would
continue to worR with die tvortR Texas Homu Builders AJsociati�;n in order to pot
together an ordinan= that yYc;uld meet the needs of both the City and the land
duvulor,ers ai-, d other stskeholders. He stated the intent was to bring the orninance
back before the Commission for recommendation to City Council at the April 11,
2018 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting,
2. City Council Updatea -- Mrs. Gagne eApressed gratitude to all the Commi55ion
members vwho erprc55ed interest in serving as the Planning & Zoning Commission
representative on the City's Landmark Commission. SMe 5tate0 EMe City Council had
chosen to appoint Chairperson Rooney Martin to the position.
Mr. James McKechnie gave a brief, legal overview of the upcoming bonta election in
May. He informed the Commission that as official memMers or a City board ur
commi55ion they were boonn Dy tpe same requirements ua City ataff in that they
were !Being asRen nt-)t to discuss for or ugainst the proposed bunds. He stated any
questions cunld bu directed tc the City's website. Mr. M,,Kcc;hnie stated a5 private
individuals, not representing the Planning & Zoning Commi55ion, they were at liMerty
to disiuss the bonds.
