Ordinance No. _08-2019_
Ordinance reopening and extending that section of Travis Street
North of the area previously reopened by Ordinance No. 18-2017
located in the MPEC South Addition north of Fourth Street as shown
and depicted on the attached Location Map and Exhibit “A”
WHEREAS, public street access to the proposed Convention Center location is
necessary for development; and,
WHEREAS, reopening the portion of Travis street as indicated will allow
development and public access to the site and the required City utilities; and,
WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the best interest of the public to promote
economic development and downtown revitalization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That section of Travis Street located in the MPEC South Addition; previously
vacated and abandoned and as depicted on the attached Exhibit “A,” is hereby
reopened.
