Resolution No. _30-2018_
Resolution authorizing a contract for the Wichita Falls Public Library
elevator replacement project to Otis Elevator Company through the
BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative in the amount of $121,614.77
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022
exempts items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the
State’s competitive bidding requirements; and ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and ,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Public Library current elevators are in excess of 20
years old; and,
WHEREAS, the age of the elevators and the difficulty of finding parts for
necessary repairs, have caused the elevators to become a liability and safety issue to
the organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City Staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to execute a co ntract
with Otis Elevator Company through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative in the
amount of $121,614.77.
