Resolution No. _29-2018__
Resolution authorizing the purchase of one (1) John Deere Tractor
from Quality Implement Co. in the amount of $59,697.30 and one (1)
Triple Flail System from Tiger Corporation in the amount of $61,989.24,
both through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022 exempts
items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State’s
competitive bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Quality Implement Co. is offering one (1)
turnkey flail mower through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative comprised of the John
Deere 6105E Cab Tractor from Quality Implement Co. and the Extreme Duty Triple Flail
system from Tiger Corporation, and it is in the best interest to purchase equ ipment in
accordance with the Cooperative Purchasing Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City Staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one (1)
John Deere tractor with Triple Flail system through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative
in the amount of $121,686.54.
