ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR GRANT REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE WOMENS,
INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District has been offered revenue from the Department of
State Health Services for the WIC program; and
WHEREAS, the current WIC addition is in need of renovation to accommodate
the use of the electronic benefit transfer system; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2005 —2006 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$250,000.00 for the WIC program to be utilized for the renovation of the existing WIC
addition.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
