RESOLUTION NO. 120-2011_
Resolution Awarding Bid For Asbestos Abatement And Demolition
Of 3800 Call Field Road To Midwest Wrecking In The Amount Of
$108,550.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
asbestos abatement and demolition of 3800 Call Field Road, and bids were received
and publicly opened on December 1, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have the property located at 3800 Call
Field abated of asbestos and demolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The bid for asbestos abatement and demolition of 3800 Call Field Road is
awarded to the overall lowest responsible bidder, Midwest Wrecking, in the amount of
$108,550.00, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to
effectuate said contract.
2. If any bidders fail to execute contracts for the asbestos abatement and
demolition as awarded herein, City Staff is authorized to execute contracts for asbestos
abatement and demolition with the next lowest bidder for the property.
