Ordinance Making An Appropriation To The Special Revenue Fund
For HIV Prevention Services In The Amount Of $117,500 Received
From The Department Of State Health Services And Authorizing The
City Manager To Execute a Contract Accepting Same
WHEREAS, sexually transmitted diseases represent a significant health risk to
the citizens of our community and the surrounding area; and,
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Department of State Health Services
desire to enter into a contract for HIV preventative services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2011 - 2012 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $117,500 for the HIV
Prevention Program, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with
the Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Health
District.
