ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR THE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE
IMMUNIZATION GRANT RECEIVED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
STATE HEALTH SERVICES; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District has been offered revenue from the Department of
State Health Services for the Immunization program; and
WHEREAS, childhood immunizations are an important and vital factor in the
health of our community; and
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Department of State Health Services
desire to enter into a contract for immunization services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2005 —2006 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $49,163
for the Immunization program, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with the Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls-Wichita
County Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
