Ord 92-2006 12/5/2006 . w.. ORDINANCE NO. qa_aooc� ORDINANCE REZONING 1500 AND THE SOUTH 1.1 ACRES OUT OF 1512 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE AND ADJACENT RIGHT-OF- WAYS FROM RESIDENTIAL MIXED USE AND SINGLE FAMILY-2 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL, AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN TO COMMERCIAL; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed zoning change at their November 8, 2006, meeting and voted to recommend approval of this request and related Land Use Plan amendment; and WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed this application and has determined that the herein described zoning and Land Use Plan change is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan designation of thereinafter described Tracts 1& 2, as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A," is hereby amended to "Commercial." SECTION 2. Tract One, 1500 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, described as being Lot 12-A, Replat Block 3, Scurry Addition, and adjacent right-of-way is hereby rezoned to General Commercial. SECTION 3. Tract Two, the south 1.1 acres of 1512 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, described as a 4.19 acre tract out of Block 1, Abstract 299, and adjacent right-of-way is hereby rezoned to General Commercial. SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
