Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and accept a
Federal Transit Administration Section 5304 Metropolitan and
Statewide Planning Grant in an amount up to $800,000 from the
Texas Department of Transportation
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for improved
transportation maintenance and repair facilities for its bus operations ; and,
WHEREAS, design funding for this proposed facility may be available through
the Federal Transit Administration under the Metropolitan and Statewide Planning
Section 5304 program administered through the Texas Department of Transportation ;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is an identified recipient to receive Section
5304 funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for and accept a Federal Transit
Administration Metropolitan and Statewide Planning Section 5304 grant from the Texas
Department of Transportation, in an amount up to $800,000, to develop architectural
and engineering design plans for a proposed repair and maintenance facility .
