Resolution authorizing the purchase of two (2) Commercial Side
Loaders through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative from
Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. in the amount of $268,528.00 and the
Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Cooperative Purchasing
Program from Kann Manufacturing Corporation in the amount of
$192,176.00
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code §252.022 exempts items purchased
through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State’s competitive bidding
requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and ,
WHEREAS, THE City Council finds that Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. is offering two
(2) turnkey Commercial Side Loaders comprised of the Mack Terrapro Cabover MRU612
cab and chassis from Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. through the BuyBoard Purchasing
Cooperative and the Curb Master SLEC Series 29-yard Commercial Side Loader body
with Eject Unloading from Kann Manufacturing Corporation through the H -GAC
Cooperative Purchasing Program, and it is in the City’s best interest to purchase
equipment in accordance with the Cooperative Purchasing Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute documents necessary to purchase two (2)
Commercial Side Loaders through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative and H -GAC
Cooperative Purchasing Program in the amount of $460,704.00.
