Min 07/12/2006 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building July 12, 2006 Items 1 & 2 The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas held a pre-budget workshop on the above date in the City Council Chambers of the Memorial Auditorium Building at 8:30 o'clock a.m., with the following members present: Lanham Lyne - Mayor Ray Gonzalez - Mayor Pro Tern Jim Ginnings - Councilors Linda Ammons - Dorothy Roberts-Burns - Rick Hatcher - Charles Elmore - Darron Leiker - City Manager Bill Sullivan - City Attorney Lydia Ozuna - City Clerk A pre-budget workshop was held for the 2006-2007 budget. Mayor Lyne called the meeting to order. City Manager gave introductory comments. There are $1.6 million that are available from General Debt Service savings, and he asked Council for direction and feedback on the use of this $1.6 million. Staff will provide information on revenues, major expenditures and talk about the $1.6 million and how to spend it. Jim Dockery, Finance Director, provided detailed data on the budget, revenues, and expenditures in the various funds. City Manager commented on the staffing and capital needs that gave been set out as priorities. The directors who had items under staffing and capital needs addressed them. Following information from the directors, the City Manager asked the Council for guidance on the $1.6 million. Council felt they needed time to digest all the information that was provided today.
