RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND CONTRACT TO BOWLES
CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $489,500 FOR PHASE I OF THE
FOUR-FIELD ADDITION TO THE CITY'S SOFTBALL COMPLEX;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls desires to add four fields to existing
softball field complex; and
WHEREAS, Bids were opened on June 5 for Phase 1 of the planned expansion;
and
WHEREAS, Bowles Construction submitted the low bid in the amount of
$489,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said total contract value of $489,500 is hereby awarded to Bowles
Construction, and the City Manager is authorized the execute a contract for the City
with said Contractor for the Phase 1 of the four-field addition to the city's softball
complex.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
