RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A 66,000 GVW TRUCK WITH A 5,000 GALLON WATER TANK TO
WICHITA FALLS FREIGHTLINER IN THE AMO�JNT OF $127,454.00;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of a 66,000 GVW truck with a 5,000 gallon water tank; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on July 16, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a water truck for the control of
dust at the city landfill;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of a
66,000 GVW truck with a 5,000 gallon water tank to the low bidder, Wichita Falls
Freightliner, in the amount of $127,454.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
