RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ADVANCED FUNDING AGREEMENT
FOR HAZARD ELIMINATION/SAFETY PROJECTS THROUGH THE
TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation is proposing to re-construct
various signal and street lighting infrastructure through the Hazard Elimination/Safety
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to participate by matching 10% of the
construction costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Advanced Funding Agreement is accepted and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement with the Texas Department of
Transportation.
SECTION 2. The current local match for the project is estimated to be
$60,421.00, which will be considered in the Fiscal Year 2007/2008 Budget.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
