RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID TO
FURNISH AND INSTALL A HOT WATER BOILER AT THE WICHITA
FALLSNVICHITA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO JAMES LANE
AIR CONDITIONING & PLUMBING IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,598.00
AND APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 1 FOR THIS PROJECT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids to furnish
and install a 2.0 MBTUH hot water boiler; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on June 29, 2007; and
WHEREAS, $35,000 was budgeted for this project; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a 1.0 MBTUH hot water boiler is
adequate for this project; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a 1.0 MBTUH unit can be installed for a
price of $33,563 through a change order process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid to furnish and install a hot
water boiler at the Wichita FaIIsNVichita County Health Department to James Lane Air
Conditioning & Plumbing in the amount of $44,598.00 and authorize Change Order
Number One, which requires installation of the 1.0 MBTUH unit at the reduced price of
$33,563.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
