RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND CONTRACT TO CHAVEZ
CONTRACTING IN THE AMOUNT OF $396,374 FOR PHASE II OF THE
FOUR-FIELD ADDITION TO THE CITY'S SOFTBALL COMPLEX;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls desires to add four fields to existing
softball field complex; and
WHEREAS, Bids were opened on June 21 for Phase 2 of the planned
expansion; and
WHEREAS, Chavez Contracting submitted the low bid in the amount of
$396, 374.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said total contract value of $396,374 is hereby awarded to Chavez
Contracting, and the City Manager is authorized the execute a contract for the City with
said Contractor for the Phase 2 of the four-field addition to the city's softball complex.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
