RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENDORSE
THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE LAKE KEMP TEXAS
REALLOCATION STUDY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with the Texas
Water Development Board, is proposing to perform a Reallocation Study of Lake Kemp
to determine alternatives to increase the water supply from this lake; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County Water Improvement
District No. 2 are co-owners of Lake Kemp; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends that this study be perFormed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to endorse the Project
Management Plan for the Lake Kemp Reallocation Study.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
