Ord 9-2002 1/15/2002ORDINANCE NO. 9 - Z ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND REZONING 7.65 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF BLOCK 12, LEAGUE 2, DENTON COUNTY SCHOOL LAND; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning Division has received a request for annexation; and WHEREAS, City departments have reviewed such request and finds that such annexation would not burden City resources in providing service; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such annexation and rezoning are in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. A tract of land being 7.65 acres out of Block 12, League 2, Denton County School Land, described in Field Notes herein included as Attachment "A" and as shown on the on the map included as Attachment "B" is hereby annexed into the City of Wichita Falls. SECTION 2. A tract of land being 7.65 acres out of Block 12, League 2, Denton County School Land, described in Field Notes herein included as Attachment "A" and as shown on the on the map included as Attachment "B" is hereby rezoned from SF -1 to SF-2. SECTION 3. A tract of land being 7.65 acres out of Block 12, League 2, Denton County School Land, described in Field Notes herein included as Attachment "A" and as shown on the on the map included as Attachment "B" is hereby included in the Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan as Low Density Residential. SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
