Ord 87-2002 10/1/2002f ORDINANCE NO. cY -a-O(Yk) ORDINANCE REZONING A 7.723-ACRE TRACT BEING LOTS 8-12, BLOCK 4, COUNTRY CLUB ADDITION, A PORTION OF LOT 1-A, BLOCK 2A, WOODLAND PARK ADDITION AND ADJACENT PROPERTY OUT OF ABSTRACT 305, PROPOSED LOT 1-B, WOODLAND PARK ADDITION, FROM SINGLE FAMILY-2 AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONING TO MULTIFAMILY ZONING AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the request that the above referenced property be rezoned from Single Family-2 and Light Industrial zoning to Multifamily zoning and amending the Land Use Plan in conformance with this rezoning; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this rezoning request and amending the Land Use Plan is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for a 7.723- acre tract being Lots 8-12, Block 4, Country Club Addition, a portion of Lot 1-A, Block 2A, Woodland Park Addition and adjacent property out of Abstract 305, proposed Lot 1- B, Woodland Park Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas. Said property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A". Said property Land Use Plan designation shall be changed to High Density Residential. SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1, is hereby zoned Multifamily. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of October 2002.
